Yeaaaahhhh!!! My First Christmas!

I had a great time on my first Christmas...and it just seemed to keep going. How Awesome!! Does it happen like this every year?!

Before we left home daddy helped me open my first present right beside our Christmas tree and the Christmas train that Grandaddy gave us before I was born. I love that train...and my Christmas present was great too!

Then, mommy and daddy took me to see the family for Christmas. The night before the big day...Christmas Eve (right daddy?)...we went to see Gran and Gan and Great Uncle Dick...and Uncle Chris...and Aunt Liz and Uncle Will...aaaaand LIVY!!! Here we are at Gran's house.

I picked out a present for Livy and Uncle will almost passed out blowing it up. Mommy says he's a human air compressor...and a lot of other good things a daddy needs to be. I think Uncle Chris is glad he doesn't have to be a human air compressor yet.

Here is Livy's toy all blown up...sooooo cooooooolllll.

The next morning was Christmas day and I woke up to everyone carrying around socks full of good stuff. Mommy and Daddy told me their called stockings...and we opened up everything in the stockings on Grandma SuSu and Grandaddy's bed. Mmmmmmm and mmmmmmmmm's?

Ooooooooooooo Dolphin....and he lights up!!!

Wow...I thought I was a goner since I cried on Santa's lap the only time I met him, but I guess I wasn't all bad in my first year. Look!!! I got a whole music set from Santa!! Rock me Amadeus!

And it didn't stop there, I got a whole set of balls....a soccer ball, a football, and basketball!!

And daddy got a race car from mommy....but he said it would really be mine and we'd play with it together. My mommy is so cool!!

And after we opened up some presents and I napped....we went over to Grandmom's and I got to see her and Pa...and met Aunt Sara and Uncle James...and saw Aunt April and Uncle Dave...and A-V-I!!!!! We opened up presents and Aunt Sara gave both Avi and me really cool handmade Winnie-Pooh's. How awesome!!! I got so many great toys....I love Christmas!

Here is Aunt April and Avi....Avi got lots of cool presents too! I can't wait until we get to play together again....I may have to swap toys with her and work out a day-trade deal.

Pa made daddy and mommy drool over some kind of bread...something about Bee Bread or Beer Bread...oh, they called it Brie Bread. Hope I can have some next year! Here are Pa and Aunt Sara and Uncle James.

Well mommy said I was uber cute for my first Christmas, but it's not fair to be compared with all the cute girls. They are just naturally cute and then get to wear little cute dresses. That's ok tho, cuz I'm a boy and I'm a baller!! Just like Uncle Dave!

We had a great Christmas! I had a lot of fun...and I think I wore out mommy and daddy. That's ok, I think I got the best of them before I really had to share. What a great Christmas...numero uno!!!

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

I thought is was really cool that everyone was getting together to celebrate my 9 month birthday!! I heard a rumor that everyone is going to celebrate my 10 month birthday as well and actually give presents in honor of me. Well little did mommy and daddy know that starting today 11/28/2010 our lives would change so much in a week.......

Side bar.....I went to my new doctor for my check up and he said I was in great health.....I weigh 19 pounds (well 18 pounds 15.6 ounces...mommy said I could claim 19 pounds) and 29 inches long.

Mommy came in on Thanksgiving morning and look what she found me doing.....yep all by myself. The next day when daddy came in to get me from my morning nap I had even a bigger surprise for him.......I was standing all by myself.........I am very proud!

Don't we make a cute little family unit. Mommy get closer!!!

I had my first turkey with Daddy, Mommy (she is taking the picture), Great Gran, SuSu and Granddaddy.

Okay are you keeping up with all these firsts.......first getting myself to the sitting position.....first pulling myself up in my own crib........first thanksgiving.......first turkey......below might be my first girlfriend. Ava was born on turkey day her parents are my auntie beth and uncie ed. Mommy thought we should go over and introduce ourselves.......I think she is a cutie!!
Mommy you don't look too good in this picture but don't worry no one will notice they are looking at us babies.

Okay so we are up to the following thursday one week from turkey day. Mommy and I went to visit my cousin livy because daddy was away on business....whatever that means I don't like away on business.

I like going to cousin livy's she has really cool toys. There was one I couldn't get to so I decided to get it myself.....yep I crawled for the first time for real. Ok so the video of me showing off isn't from that day but wanted to show my new skill. So in one week rocked mommy and daddy's world from stationary to full mobility........now there is this matter of something called walking that I am working on........

Cousin Livy came for Halloween

I was so excited that my cousin Livy, Aunt Liz and Uncle Will came into town. I didn't get to see Livy when she got here because mommy and daddy made me go to bed so I was ready to see her saturday morning. I was a good boy and shared my toys with her. She likes chewing on things too......

I also took cousin Livy to my playground and we got to ride the alligator together. Good thing dad and Uncle Will were there to keep the gator from eating us!

We played in these brown crunchy things called leaves. We were more interested in things that we were allowed to eat.

I cannot believe they put this picture of us getting ready for a bath on the blog....so embrassing. Mommy and Aunt Liz said we were dirty from all that playing.

After we were all clean we put our Halloween costumes on. I couldn't make the neighing noise a horse makes but my cousin sure does a good quack quack. Maybe next year I will be able to do sound effects with my costume.

They put us back in the crunchy things for pictures and I had had enough......and I let them know it.

It was really cool.....after I got up from my morning nap on Halloween Uncle Will and Daddy had been really busy cutting up orange things to make them look cooooool. Mommy kept saying pumpkin whatever that means.

I love my Aunt Liz. I am giving my most serious look to see if I look more grown up. Mommy is always telling me that I don't look like a baby anymore but a little man. Uncle Will told me that I have a middle management hair cut.....what's a hair cut?

We went to the Air and Space Museum. It was fun and saw tons of planes that Uncle Will knew a whole lot about!

Mommy don't lose me........

Here are the orange things that dad and uncle will worked on all lite up. Thanks Aunt Liz for bringing the supplies.

Our fabulous family dinner, capping a great weekend

Ok, time for dinner with mommy's family...well, our family...but it can get confusing with so much family in one area. So this dinner was a big shabang...we had great time and a great visit. Here we are before dinner and Great Gran's house. It's such a pretty screen porch at her house, nice just to sit with folks and check out the view...or if you're like me, try to walk around and find some interesting things to chew on.

So I didn't do much chewing before dinner, but I find something at dinner. Have you ever had Mexican Menues? They're fantastic! Taste a little like salsa and salt, but fantastic...highly recommended.

Hey Livy, there are too many camera's....do you know which one they want us to look at?

Wait, I didn't see duck on the menu...not that I was paying that much attention when I was chewing on it....but could I have gotten duck too?

Grandaddy, they found me. I came to the other end of the table, but they still found me. Smile and make a diversion while I try to make a break for it and find more duck.

Ok, seriously. Dinner was great. my whole trip to Hampton Roads this time was great. I'm so glad we were all able to get together and see Great Grandaddy and Joe while they were in town. Lookie lookie here, four generations together!

And the slightly larger goup...jump in here Great Gran and Joe.

It was great seeing you Great Grandaddy!

Yorktown Beach with Great Grandaddy and Joe

Daddy came to Yorktown beach a lot when he was real little, and I've come here a couple times myself. But this time...I came with Great Grandaddy and Joe...and Grandma Susu and Grandaddy....and mommy and daddy. We had a great day! It was somehow still warm, and it was sunny...and the sand was squishy. I had fun in the sand...and fun in Great Grandaddy's lap hangin out.
And Great Joe knows how to make a kid smile too. He's awesome fun!

Mommy put me down in the sand to play, did I mention it was squishy? haha, fuuuuuuuuun
Grandma Susu even took me on a walk-about...let's roll Susu..."Take me to the River"...da da da, dant da
We had a lot of fun, but Great Grandaddy and I did have a serious chat. That's for sharing so much with me! I really appreciate knowing the things I do about my roots, and it was fun spending time with you and Joe too!

Grandmom and Pa's, a halloween preview

Grandmom and Pa's was such fun, I'm glad we got to hang out while we were in town. I wish Daddy could have come along for this part, but he is getting into town tonight. Grandmom and Pa and mommy and me got to hang out a lot though. I had a lot of fun with them, and I got to try on my Halloween costume early...it's so awesome!!! Grandmom got it for me....I'm gonna be a horsey! Thanks Grandmom!!!!

Smile with me Pa! Mommy take the picture quick...I'm having a hard time getting my hands in to tickle Pa so that he keeps smiling. He knows what to do on the other side of the camera, but I need to teach him some of my modeling skills. C'mon Pa, think cute! Haha, quick mommy...
